Pool layout suggestion

hi there

im looking for suggestion on a drive layout i have 7 drive 4TB each + 1 drive 8TB so 8 drives in total. this what my layout plan 5 drives 4tb each = raidz2 + 2 drives 4tb mirror + 1 drive 8tb for hotspare in a single vdev? please dont bash me im new to this truenas world.

Why are you choosing that drive and pool layout?

there is nothing wrong with what you chose but what are your plans for NAS use? It just helps with feedback you will get. I also am not sure what you mean by ‘4x Onboards SATA + NVMe 4 SATA slot’. Can you elaborate on the setup? Is there a HBA adapter?
