This only started after I replaced Core for Scale on same PC with no changes and it happens about once every couple of weeks during boot. Only way out is to manually reset the PC.
Any ideas how to fix it or what’s the cause….It can’t be hardware since Core never had any issues as it also only happens randomly every couple of weeks or so.
you are half right, because old hardware like that can be not suppoerted by new kernel.
What i would try in your place, is to update the bios to the latest available, and trying to disable every power savings settings (c states), Maybe that can mitigate the issue, otherwhise i would stick to Core more time IMHO and wait new HW for the sidegrade to Scale
It doesn’t make sense for if it was then it would be a constant. To me it seems more of a software bug in it not being able to prioritise or clear correctly so every now and then on some random boot it hits this bug. I think I may report it as a bug and see what happens.
