Recently SMB speeds dropped by 90%

So recently my SMB speeds have mysteriously dropped by about 90%. I’m not sure if this is a TrueNAS issue or a Windows 11 issue.

I did upgrade to SCALE 24.04.2.1 and I think some Windows updates have happened recently, but I haven’t made any recent configuration changes directly to either system.

I was getting 400-700MB/s before, now I’m maxing out around 30-40MB/s.

Has anyone else noticed their SMB transfer speeds reduced recently?

It smells similar to SMB signing issues that have plagued macOS for some years. But it looks like SMB signing is already disabled on my Win11 client, so I’m not sure what else it could be.

Nevermind, PEBCAK issue. I flipped my computer disk around and grabbed one of two identical ethernet cables. The one I had been been using was connected to a 10G transceiver, I had grabbed the other one was only 1G. Flipped them and they are working fine. False alarm.
