Hi all,
im facing a strange behavior during the replication from 2 truenas system, and i don’t know how to solve it myself.
This problem is occurring on 2 datasets, on specific snapshots, and the error message is
Replication “Backup Offsite” failed: Full ZFS replication failed to transfer
all the children of the snapshot
StoragePool/SSDPool_Backup/VirtualMachine@auto-2024-10-07_11-52. The error
was: ChannelException(2, ‘Connect failed’). The snapshot
StoragePool/SSDPool_Backup/VirtualMachine/AlpineLinux-
zmx52@auto-2024-10-07_11-52 was not transferred. Please runzfs destroy -r StoragePool/SSDPool_Backup/VirtualMachine@auto-2024-10-07_11-52on the target
system and run replication again…
Off course i try to follow the tip, several times, but at the end i get stopped at the same point with the same result for both.
I have tried to change from PUSH (from source system) to PULL (on backup system) with no effect; i have tried to replicate those datasets directly nor from main pool where they are stored and the “insite” replication datasets with no change; i have tried to add a dedicated pool on backup system, with no change.
I don’t see anything from gui that make me think about a different settings on those datasets.
The systems involved are in signature, they are on the same NET, replication is setting as "full file system replication) and despite the ChannelException(2, ‘Connect failed’). that appear always when those snapshot are involved… i trasferred smoothly like other ~600gb of data at an avg of 7 mib/s (without encryption)
