Are there known bugs in the UI? The ‘SAVE’ button gets greyed out in the replication dialog when toggling certain features on/off such as inherit encryption. I found that if I drop down and populate the ‘key format’ the SAVE button is enabled again. If I then check off ‘inherit encryption’ then the SAVE key is still usable. However, if I just choose ‘encryption’ and then ‘inherit encryption’ the SAVE button is disabled. Shouldn’t the SAVE button not be disabled if choosing ‘inherit encryption’? Doesn’t that negate the need for a ‘key format’?
Why would these options disable the ‘SAVE’ button in the first place?
What version of TrueNAS are you using and are you using the Replication Task Wizard or the Advanced Replication Creation screen? When I try this on the wizard on 24.04.2, the Next button is greyed out until I set a source and destination, then it is enabled. If I check Encryption it is greyed out again, but then it is reenabled if I check either Inherit Encryption or a Key Format. Encryption settings don’t seem to affect the Save button in the Advanced screen.
Edit: Actually are you attempting to edit an existing task? I am able to reproduce a bug here on the Edit screen and it looks like we already have a ticket submitted for the issue: [NAS-130521] - iXsystems TrueNAS Jira
I need to be sure I check that bug list before posting next time. I just figured with the VM edit UI bug a release or two ago that these types of things would have been addressed!
