I have (2) servers on TrueNAS 25.10.4 that perform a remote replication to each other every night. It has happened at least 3 times in the past now where the replication task on each of the servers has disappeared completely. midclt call replication.queryon each server shows [] so it’s not a GUI/display issue.
The worst part is that if I don’t look for it, I receive no error notification to my email because the entire task is deleted so as far as TrueNAS is concerned, there is no failure.
I suspect it occurs after an update to TrueNAS as it occurs on both of my servers, and possibly a migration issue, but I haven’t been able to confirm/troubleshoot yet because the last few times it happened, I just recreated the tasks on each of the server. This is getting a bit tedifffous however, and obviously after 3 weeks (the time it took for me to realize the tasks were gone), the amount of data queued up for replication is a lot now as opposed to a little each night.
Anyone else get this? I am fairly certain that I experienced this on versions of Fangtooh (v24.x) also.
