Running Ubuntu server in Virtualization results in site can't be reached, refused to connect error, intermittently

I installed Ubuntu server VM in Virtualization on Truenas, followed by Portainer and some other containers such as emby, postgresql, gitlab. Intermittently, I am getting “this site can’t be reached, refused to connect” when trying to access those containers via web browser. At the same time I get booted out of ssh session and then I’m unable to ssh back in due to “Connection Refused” on port 22. A reboot of the VM will bring the functionality back but what could be causing this error??
I have an interface bridge created for this VM so that I am able to access NFS Shares. Could that be causing some instability? Maybe I don’t have it configured properly?

I’ve been trying to figure this out for a while and it’s starting to bother me…

Thanks in advance!

Which version of scale? Which version of Ubuntu? Which version of NFS protocol?

Look at your /var/log/kern.log in Ubuntu…. Any nfs errors?

Scale: ElectricEel-24.10-RC.2
Ubuntu: 23.10
NFS: v4

The logs show some UFW BLOCK records. I’ll look into it further.

I had that issue. I just used remote desktop (on windows) now. No issues at all with that.

You could try using e1000 for the NIC instead of VirtIO.
