I thought it is the SMB multichannel … but I’m not so sure now
I/we still don’t know. AFAIK, “loop” is usually referred to when 2 switches have multiple different paths to each other. Thus, causing a broadcast storm or something like that (I’m not a network guy). This is usually mitigated by STP but IMO should just be avoided.
I assume they have different IPs within the same subnet, correct? Having multiple NICs in one subnet could cause troubles but often works ok (don’t do it on purpose).
How did you access your SMB share? Was it by netbios name? Or maybe by <truenas-hostname>.local
? If so, try to measure speed when accessing the share via aggregated 25G IP.

I access to the truenas with the 2x25GBs aggregated NICs IP from PCs
I access to the Truenas with netbios name from Macs
Ok, then I’m out of ideas. Perhaps more network-savvy users could solve this puzzle.
