Security Onion in VM on Scale unable to access network

Hi,
I am trying to install Security Onion in a VM on scale and everything works until I get to the interface setup for the Management Interface,I have tried with out a network bridge and with a network bridge in scale…and have tried setting up static IP addresses and using DHCP within Security Onion but it keeps telling me that it is unable to access the network and set the management interface IP.

May be worth trying the e1000 type instead of virtio for the Nic.

Hi Stux,

I tried what you suggested and even recreated the VM with the NIC adapters set to e1000 but still no luck.

I enjoyed watching your YouTube tutorials. :slightly_smiling_face:
