I just noticed that the TrueNAS service in eating up my memory:
htop is telling me that smbd is the problem:
Does anyone knows what can be done to solve this?
Stopping the smb-service and restarting it cleared 50 GB of memory.
I will look if it’s growing again.
This is abnormal behavior. Can you PM me a debug and also gather a dump of talloc memory pool for the process?
e.g.
smbcontrol <pid> pool-usage > /tmp/poolusage.txt
