Show the hidden .ix-apps in dataset UI view

In 24.10.0 can we have back the ix-apps dataset in the UI view.

I’d like to see how much space on the storage this dataset is taking up. Workaround is to create a dataset and child datasets but then I have to use host path in all docker apps.

adding my input to this annoyance…

I understand why ix-applications (and now it’s successor ix-apps) wasn’t encrypted by default… there are edge cases with that could bite users… it should still be an option, maybe with a big disclaimer to create an encrypted apps dataset is risky etc… sure “it’s only docker images” unless of course you consider just how much config you are leaking, and then the wheels fall off this claim if you use a so called “ix-volume”

With ix-apps however, it’s hidden from the datasets ui just like the system dataset. and it’s still unencrypted, and NOTHING is said or shown about this unless you go digging into the cli…

creating an encrypted pool and your server silently creating an unencrypted dataset without at least showing the user? I’m sorry this is objectively misinforming the (unknowing) user who might assume these disks are safe to sell/trade/etc without wiping.
