On the old forums there’s a fair bit of chatter on the topic of Samba + symlinks but I can’t find an answer for creating these from a Windows client.
Apparently it’s not hard to create links that a Samba-connected Windows client will follow. I need to create/manage them from the Windows client itself. Was this ever implemented in Samba?
I’ve googled pretty hard for this and it seems I’m the one with the corner case. The search results suggest Samba is mainly Linux systems connecting to other Linux systems.
