Hi everyone, I have an SMB share on TrueNAS, but I don’t understand why, even though I can access the entire share correctly, if a new folder is created (for example, by copying from the cloud), it does not inherit the permissions of the parent folder, and as a result, I cannot access it.
To access it, I have to manually go into the ACL settings and select “apply recursively” together with “apply owner.” I don’t understand why this can’t be done automatically. Where am I going wrong?
It is currently set up as a share with SMB/NFSv4 ACL and “limited” mode.
