Smbprotocol and truenas

Hi guys,

I am trying to use a python script that was used with sucess on a Windows Server Share previously but after I move my file server to Truenas Scale, the script does not work anymore.

It is using smbprotocol.

Anyone have an idea?

No, your post is sparse on details.

Basically, we know you have a python script that uses smbprotocol.
You say it’s not working.

We don’t know, among other things:

• The exact error message.
• The version of TrueNAS used.
• What your previous “file server” was.
• How you execute the script.
• The contents of the actual script.
• If it ever worked and only just now stopped working or if it has never worked since you moved it from your file server to TrueNAS.

If you want a half-decent chance of getting help you need to post more information.

I got success updating samba version from the client side where the script was running.
