Ok I re-imported the pool, now I’ll reboot
Also the reason why what we did is relatively safe is because the first 256KB is where the ZFS Vdev Label is stored. ZFS keeps like four copies of that section at different positions, therefore it’s recoverable if that section is corrupted.

same issue here, after using some ntfs initialized drives the pool went offline on a reboot. Wipefs saved my day!

I had the exact same problem, with the very same output from wipefs. Bare metal with an old re-used disk. Afaik, when I re-purposed the disk, I wiped it using the truenas interface, but then after each reboot it did become unavailable.
