Static IP Addresses

I’ve set up TrueNAS on a Minisforum N5 Pro which has 2 ethernet ports. If I want to put Plex on the unit with a static IP address, how do I decide which port to assign the address to?

I could just disconnect one since either one is faster than the switch they’re plugged into but I wanted to know the “right” answer.

You can’t (or shouldn’t) put t two IPs with the same subnet on two different network ports.

It causes issues with the network stack.

Just pick one. Or if you want to use iSCSI use the other interface with a different subnet.

I made one static and let the router assign the other.
