For those who use Storj for storage from Truenas [edit] (for cloud storage that is). Storj just announced a price increase $50.00 minimum billing so if you use less than $50.00/month of space/usage then it will cost you. $7/TB Storage $7/TB Egress, with local at $10.00/TB. For the $50.00 price you …

[image] Tundor: S3 Backup with Snapshots in Truenas is just supported for Storj? Not sure what you mean, but most S3 providers offer snapshots. Granted, you won’t see it in the TrueNAS webGUI, but on their webGUI. [image] Tundor: What’s best practice for Alternatives? According to the…

[image] Tundor: While there are many providers, the S3 Backup with Snapshots in Truenas is just supported for Storj? What’s best practice for Alternatives? An alternative would be to use backup software that does its own versioning. Then you don’t need to rely on snapshots on your storage pro…

Thank you all, I decided to go with a containerised solution for restic (Backrest) which offers a more convenient approach with a nice UI. Which means if you have topped your account with storj like I did then you’ll just pay for your used storage. Or you can just get some crypt…

Yes, hence my first post. Everyone with a storage account should have received the same email I did with the same page links. What was never clear in my email conversations with them was if the node tokens do not fully cover the cost is the storage account on the hook for the balance of the 50$. It…

Got this email: Hello Storj Customer, We are contacting you regarding our upcoming new simplified pricing to clarify that the new $50 Minimum Fee and new simplified pricing will not apply to your account as you signed up through TrueNAS. Unfortunately, your account was erroneously included in our…
