Just one last update for everyone.
I returned the 5x SAS drives, and purchased 5x of the Seagate EXOS SATA drives noted above from goharddrive.com.
I have a few weeks under my belt, and all appears to be working well so far.

Havenât been here in a while but I saw you didnât get a response. GoHarddrives has their own store on ebay. Not sure if spd does. They also have websites you can buy from. Gohdd and spd both sell âreconditionedâ (no clue what that entails) and âmanufacturer recertifiedâ (validated by the manufacturer to be good).
