This isn’t really a question, but I just ran into a totally random reboot of my main server. No errors, no nothing.
It is connected to a UPS (no monitoring) and the boot drive has 8 pending unreadable sectors so maybe…
But this pushed my to make sure to have backups of the config, SMART tests, backups of the data etc…
Just reminding all of us who think “It will never happen to me” to keep proper backups.
