I know that ISER is listed as an “enterprise” feature in 25.04, but ISER is available out of the box in previous versions (even though ixsystems has never officially acknowledged it), is this a degradation of the feature?
And in 25.04, even with “enterprise” enabled, iser will not load at system startup, and you need to manually restart the iscsi service to load it normally. I once opened an issue in jira (TrueNAS - Issues - iXsystems TrueNAS Jira), but it was directly closed.
So this is a complete mess. ixsystems called ISER an “enterprise” feature in 25.04, but the truenas middleware can’t even start it normally.
