I’m confused by the 13.3 with 13.4 jail thing (I did not know you could do that).

You can do that as long as the newer release in the jail does not introduce incompatible ABI changes that require a matching kernel. This is frequently the case but never guaranteed.

I’ve upgrade a Emby, Syncthing, MotionEye, Calibre-web, Transmission, Unifi, and several copies of those jails from 13.3 to 13.4 and no issues for the last month.
