TrueNAS Core / extend existing vdev feature coming?

Hello,
I’m operating a TrueNAS core system and I would like to extend my z1 pool with an additional drive. From what I read, extending an existing vdev is a new OpenZFS feature sponsored by iXsystems (thank you!), available in TrueNAS scale since the recent last release.
I have not found any information when (or if at all) this feature is coming to TrueNAS core, from what I’ve read I’m not even sure if TrueNAS core is in active development (new features) or in a maintenance only state (only bugfixes).
TrueNAS core works perfectly fine, so from that perspective I wouldn’t move to something else, but if this feature is not going to be available in TrueNAS core in the foreseeable future, are there known issues/downsides migrating a TrueNAS core to a TrueNAS scale? I’m not using BSD-Jails (or any other BSD feature I can think of).
Best regards
Stefan

Core is EOL and won’t get any more features. 13.3 is the last update, but raidz expansion is not available on 13.3

No.

That’s it. You aren’t going to see RAIDZ expansion in CORE.
