After new installation of Transmission plugin 4.0.5_2 or upgrade of existing plugin the web interface is not available got the following page:

Root cause: package transmission-web is missing.

After installing this package manually web interface is restored.

Plug-ins are dead, not supported anymore, and should not be used.

I would say you should create your own manual jail and install the software that way, or (groan) migrate to SCALE.
