The TrueNAS web UI doesn’t support automatic theme switching based on system or browser settings. Most modern apps do, and it feels outdated to have to change the theme manually.
This would improve the user experience by syncing the TrueNAS UI with system preferences (like dark mode at night), reduce eye strain, and make the interface feel more modern. Users who prefer a static theme can still set one manually.
As a TrueNAS user, I want the web UI to automatically switch between dark and light themes based on my operating system or browser preferences, so that the interface seamlessly matches the rest of my environment.
