TrueNAS ElectricEel 24.10-RC.2 - boot OR kernel problem (device-mapper)

Hello!
I’m having trouble installing TrueNAS ElectricEel 24.10-RC.2.
Equipment:
CPU: i3-6100
RAM: 2x4GB DDR4
MB: Gigabyte GA-H110M-S2H
PWR: Xilence XN053 600W
When starting the installer, the error shown in the photo appears.

I don’t know what the problem is. I downloaded the ISO image itself several times and recorded it on different pendrives. I will only mention that on the SAME HARDWARE the TrueNAS SCALE 24/04/2.3 version installs and works without any problems. Maybe one of you will find or explain the cause of problems during the installation of ElectricEel 24.10-RC2.
Regards

Same error on a H61 board w/ E3-1225v2, iso loaded via Ventoy

Resolved by using etcher to burn iso to usb. Appear that ISO is not compatible with Ventoy.

Same experience, but with 24.10 stable release, and I don’t have access to console after the error. Fixed with balena etcher, thanks logicfrog. Seems like truenas slowly transforms into unRAID. Can’t wait for custom USB flaser with bunch of bugs! (not toxic, but this thing needs to be fixed)

Hi! I got around this problem by installing version 23.04 first, and then updated to version 23.10. Works seamlessly.
Regards.

I had issues installing 24.10 RC.2 via Ventoy on an X99 system. 24.04 worked fine.

I hadn’t gotten around to working out if a regular iso on usb worked yet, etc.

I had the same problem as OP booting the Truenas Scale 24.10.1 installer from Ventoy. The 24.04.2.5 installer worked fine from the same Ventoy USB.

For those who bumped into this issue using an ISO file on a Ventoy USB: Did you try the “GRUB2” boot option?

I sometimes need to resort to this myself. (I never tried with SCALE’s ISOs, but for some Linux distros I needed to select the GRUB2 boot option after choosing the ISO from the Ventoy main menu.)

I just attempted GRUB2 and it didn’t work unfortunately.
