Hello,
I am setting up my first TrueNAS instance, and while I am an IT-professional (Networking), I want to point out that I’m really not an expert in system engineering.
The NAS runs just fine in regards of SMB shares, but I wanted to add the filebrowser app for web-based file transfers.
I followed the instructions on the YT tutorial provided by IX Systems, but the appwas stuck in “deploying” state (zero network traffic - and yes, the server has outbound connectivity).
According to forum posts that I browsed, I removed the app pool and tried to add it back in. However, I am not able to do so: When trying to add it back, I get the following error message:
“Error: force
Missing ‘/mnt/…/ix-applications/config.json’ configuration file. Specify force to override this and let system re-initialize applications.”
I checked on the shell, and indeed the config.json file is missing.
In the GUI settings > Advanced settings (Kunernetes settings) I tried to tick the “force” checkbox on the bottom, but it doesn’t change anything. I just have the message “Apps service not configured”.
Do you have any hints or clues that would help me getting out of this situation?
The version I’m running is the latest TrueNas Scale Dragonfish-24.04.2
Cheers!
Denis
