HI there…PLEASE NEED HELP!!! I have a Thecus N5550 that is crap. And i want to load TrueNAS onto it.
I have flashed the USB, everything. Changed the boot sequence. It see the USB etc. I moved the original OS why down in boot order. But it boots to shell>. And that is what i see. what command do i enter for it to load truenas…PLEASE HELP!!! Please let me know at cfourie08@gmail.com

What’s the exact configuration of your system?
The specs suggest it starts at 2GB and maxes out at 4GB RAM. If so, even if you manage to get past the boot issues, the system is a woefully poor choice for TrueNAS. Take a look at the official system requirements.
I recommend looking for an more lightweight OS, something super slimmed down.
Leaving your email like that is a warning flag, since it likely makes you a target for social engineering or spam. It could also be that it’s the other way around and something more nefarious at foot, hopefully that’s not the case. ↩︎
I personally wouldnt entrust my data to something I believe is crap.

Not all turnkey NAS solutions allow booting from an alternativ OS.
But with a max of 4GB of RAM, I believe this to be unsuitable for Truenas.
