TrueNAS or Windows Svr 2019 on HPE MicroSvr Gen10 Plus + E-2224?

I have successfully set up FreeNAS / TrueNAS on a few PCs over the years for use as file severs (no plex / media streaming).

I just acquired an HPE MicroSvr Gen10 Plus E-2224 unit new in the box. I think it is a year or two old - never used. Would this system be better suited for use with TrueNAS or go with a Win Server 2019 install (for example) for a home file server? This is only for storage - no streaming or running any apps.

And for those who would agree with using TrueNAS, are there any links to a TrueNAS install on this particular hardware?

This is typical server hardware, which is perfectly suited to a trouble-free TrueNAS setup by the standard procedure.
The only question is “what drive to boot from?”. And the last resort anwser is: Any small and cheap SSD on a USB adapter.
