Truenas scale 1 GPU and passthrough to Plex App

Hi All,

Sorry if this has been asked before. I know that if I want to passthrough a GPU to a windows VM in scale I need two GPU’s in my system.

Is this still the case for the Plex App?

I’ve been using proxmox for a long time now and been virtalising Truenas. I now want to use scale on bare metal, so I can create some high availability in my proxmox cluster. So having Scale separate proxmox will help with is. I have a spare P2000 I’ll be using for the build but ideally don’t want a second GPU.

Is this possible or for transcoding will I have to have a second GPU

For the apps you dont need to passthrough a GPU. They can use whatever GPU truenas is using itself.
