Truenas scale host to VM interconnect using vlan-interfaces in a bridge possible?

Hi everybody,

I need connectivity between my TNS host and a VM running atop of it. TNS docs mention 2 variants in order to setup a bridge between the host system and the VM. Unfortunately both these methods require at least one physical interface (which at least I don’t want to spend on that usecase and I also don’t want to tamper with production interfaces).
So my question is whether this could also be accomplished with a dedicated transfer network in between the TNS host and the VM consisting of a vlan-interface inside the bridge thus avoiding the need for dedicating a physical nic.
