TrueNAS Scale not connecting to Samba AD Domain Controller

I have a Samba Domain Controller running on Ubuntu 24.04. It is running well and I can connect Windows machines to it successfully. I would like to connect TrueNas to it, but when I go to Credentials->Directory Services and configure AD and then click “Save” things seem to get stuck on “Save” where the button is greyed out, but nothing happens. The blue progress meter shows very quickly, but the screen stays on that AD config screen and “Save” stays greyed out. The information I’m putting in, like the domain name and credentials, are indeed correct.

Has anyone seen this before and/or is there a place where AD connection errors are logged? I can’t find any in /var/log/

Which SCALE version is this? Have you configured samba DC as nameserver on TrueNAS?
You should be able to view status of the AD join job in our task manager.

The version is Dragonfish-24.04.2. Yes, I have configured the Samba DC as the only nameserver in Network->Global Configuration->Settings

You can look at the task manager or output of midclt call core.get_jobs | jq If form isn’t getting submitted then you can maybe try loading in private browsing window to exclude weird browser cache interaction.
