I have question . Becouse Can I config TrueNas scale smb to connect from anywhere in the world

Are you referring to accessing the SMB share from within a network with clients that connect from different parts of the world or are you asking if you can expose the SMB share to everywhere via the internet?

SMB works fine over a VPN in my experience, just have to connect via IP or domain name.

Exposing TrueNAS to the internet is not a good idea.

I totally agree re: using a VPN to secure SMB from anywhere. I have had very good experiences with Mikrotik routers and implementing WireGuard either Mac-Mikrotik or Mikrotik-Mikrotik. I would never expose a NAS to the internet directly.

Or possibly worse, a SMB share.
