I am currently testing out Treunas scale on my PC before I save up enough money to buy dedicated gear for it. I am running Truenas 24.04 (tried with 24.10 as well) on a virtual box vm. Truenas successfully starts and displays the menu and its IP address for the UI. when I enter the address into my browser window it freezes then crashes and restarts whole pc with no error messages.
My pc specs are as follows:
Windows 10 latest
i9 10900
32gb ddr4 ram
750w power supply
GTX 1060
2Tb HDD that is both storing Truenas OS and its virtual discs
VirtualBox 7.0.16
I tried allocating between 12 and 21GB of ram and 6 to 10 cores, but it made no difference. I will try to attach a photo of the setting either in the topic or in comments.
If I left out any important information, I will happily add it. I also wasn’t sure would this fit into the Apps and Virtualization category, so I posted it in General.
