I was downloading remotely, so a few GB takes several minutes at least. I can also try Chrome at some point and report back. What looked like was happening is once the file finished there would be a very fast progress shown in downloads (just a couple of seconds to complete), but before that there would be clear network traffic of the file coming through for many minutes, just no indication in the browser.
UPDATE: I can confirm the same behavior happens in Chrome. There is also an issue with passkeys… closing the original logged in tab or using a new tab or window in the same browser session requires a new login, but the last session is not actually terminated. So if you close the window you can’t log in with a passkey again without restarting the webshare service, as it tells you the passkey is still in use.

Are you truly airgapped?
I guess so, our firewall strictly blocks any connection between NAS and the Internet, which I think is also a kind of air-gap (though not that isolated as the real definition).

Actually that’s the point. We are not a business (otherwise we should have already purchased enterprise plan) but still we see the potential of this new feature, and really want to give it a try.
So you can’t update software or add apps?
Most firewalls do allow outgoing connections, but block incoming. Its worth checking with your security team.

Yes, we can update the system manually (download the .update file then upload it using Manual Update function), just the download process of auto update will always fail. As for apps, we are using the built-in functions only, so no apps are installed.
UPDATE: I think this issue has been fixed by adding a network tunnel to bypass the firewall limitations. Thanks for the kind reply!
