Unifi Controller on TrueNAS

Looking for anyone thats managing their unifi network via unifi controller on TrueNAS.

Need to figure out how to re-adopt all devices.

The managed devices I was able to get visibility to again via set-inform.
but my unmanaged switches i can’t see,
also there are some services, see below.

This device cannot connect to your UniFi OS Console’s internal STUN server. Please check Port 3478, then see for instructions on how to verify STUN server connectivit

Im running mine on CORE. I needed to export my site from my old cloud key, enter the new inform URL, and once the devices showed up in the jail, delete them from the cloud key.

not to worry, did the export import and then went onto managed devices and did a set inform.

problem is the un managed devices, not being picked up… and can’t do set inform on them.

in addition to the extra data that comes out via 3478 which is not reachable now.

Unmanaged?

Is that because you removed them from your old controller, or because they are new and haven’t been added to any controller yet?

Unmanaged devices are exactly that - unmanaged.

Often they don’t have their own IP address, they don’t have any configuration, they don’t report statistics, and they cannot be managed by a network management tool like Unifi.

agree, they (Unifi USW - Flex units 5 port) are unmanaged… but they still show up as online on my network… Unifi can/do see them.

my side they have fixed mac addresses due to ip reservation.

they were “adopted” on the old controller.

still trying to get this resolved…
I’ve been able to resolve the STUN on port 3xxx by enabling host networking.

The problem now is to get the Flex mini’s working… they keep on being in a adopting/failing loop.
somehow need to tell them that the controller has moved, and hoping the host networking will resolve whatever port they wanna look at/for.
the unifi App/docker image is great… but seems to be very generic implementation for a app vs the “specific” needs of this container.
