I am monitoring the consumption of my system and I noticed that on the latest stable version of Truenas Scale powertop is with 2.14 instead of latest 2.15…
I need an update because my 13th gen intel cpu (i5 13400) get the package states only with C3_ACPI
Is it possible to update it manually?
Possible, yes. Supported? No. Truenas is an appliance os and it’s Not supported to manually Update packages. That’s the reason why apt is disabled. You can, however enabel the developer Mode and do what you want. But If you Break anything you’re in your own, so ye be warned, here be dragons!
well, in this case, maybe it’s appropriate to make a bootable usb with same version of debian as truenas scale (so hopefully the drivers version are the same) and try to run powertop with latest version from there, what do you think?
