Update service is failing

I am trying to find updates for my TrueNAS core system, and when I go to System/ Update I don’t see anything in Current Train. Hitting the refresh button then gives me the error:
Unable to connect to url https://update-master.ixsystems.com/TrueNAS/trains.txt: Automatic update check failed. Please check system network settings.
I have been checking this forum and see several posts related to a nameserver error. I use 8.8.8.8 as my nameserver, and my gateway is 192.168.50.1 which is my router (double checked to be sure). From the shell I can ping all of those successfully, as well as pinging google.com with success. I am not sure what else to do with this, and tried disabling the firewall on the router as well with no success. At the root of this I got connection errors when trying to create a jail and thought I’d update to see if that fixed it. My network is operating well, but for some reason the truenas web UI is having trouble. Is anyone else seeing this kind of thing?

Running 13.0-U6.2

Well, it seems my system time was set to 1/6/2017 so I was seeing invalid certificates everywhere. Set the system time correctly and it is all good. I’m surprised that I did not see any other issues with this as most of the files in my pool are dated after that date.
