UPS Status Widget

Sorry if someone already suggested this, but I didn’t see anything when I searched the forum.

Problem/Justification
A way to view the UPS status from the Web UI without having ti use the shell.

Impact
All users who are utilizing TrueNAS with UPS, and don’t have some other solution for UPS monitoring.

User Story
Basically just having some basic indication of whether UPS is on Battery vs on-line power, Run time and Percentage of Battery charged. All of this data is already provided by NUT, and while I am not a developer I would think it would be relatively easy to make it display in a widget. A similar idea is implemented in PFSense’s UPS widget on their dashboard.

Yeah, I need it too.

Would be a really really nice addition indeed.

This would be a welcome addition for me too.

I would like it as well.

Could be useful

Just got my ups, set it up and was surprised this isn’t a thing yet. Would love to see this added.

This would be quite useful

I would really like this also. I came here after web searching “Truenas Scale UPS Dashboard Widget” to see if there was one in the pipeline after not being able to find one in the GUI… I’m surprised there isnt one already!, seems like quite an important and handy feature linked to something “critical” that should already be a thing?

Would be a really nice addition

Well, I just stuck my toe in the water with Scale - migrated my backup server from Core to Scale as a live test instance.
In Core I could always establish that the UPS service was active from the console screen - reset the service at the host and see the disconnect and reconnect messages on the Core console.
I don’t see these messages on Scale.

I found a helpful answer here [NAS-132924] SLAVE UPS (netclient) graph spams error.log - iXsystems TrueNAS Jira

It’s now a year later. Any updates? Has anyone seen a way to put a widget for a UPS on the Dashboard? I see a UPS section under Reporting.

Do you see an [Accepted] tag in the title of the post or any comment from an iX employee that says it’s accepted and will be available? As long as this feature request doesn’t have both or one of it, it’s not implemented yet.

Given the fact that a gpu widget was announced almost 2 years ago and it’s sill not available, i’d say don’t hold your breath…

Yep, exhibit 392 in the “why the Feature Requests category is a farce” case.

I think that the jury has long reached an unanimous conclusion on this case.
But they are out of votes to express it…
