Using NextCloud with certificate issued by Tailscale

Hello!

I installed NextCloud and Tailscale as apps in TrueNAS Scale.

I was able to access both TrueNAS webadmin and NextCloud dash board through computer.my-domain.ts.net and computer.my-domain.ts.net:30027 respectively.

I then managed to use the certificate issued by Tailscale to access webadmin through HTTPS using some of the steps described here (cat’ing the .crt/.key files and copying them as a imported certificate): Reddit - Dive into anything . It works perfectly for webadmin.

I then used the newly imported certificate on the NextCloud app config. Whenever I try to access https://computer.my-domain.ts.net:30027, it seemingly rewrites the port probably to use 443 and I thus get redirected instantly to TrueNAS webadmin.

I guess the behavior I’ve just described is understood and probably expected by you more experienced than I, but I’m wondering if there’s a way of setting NextCloud up to use a secure connection.

Try installing Nginx Proxy Manager from the TrueNAS catalog.
It’ll handle your certificates as well.
