The prerequisites for venus indicate NVIDIA (Proprietary) 570.86 or later (with some specific kernel/QEMU patches if Intel CPUs are used) and we’ve gone to nvidia-open as of 25.10 - we also don’t have the mesa packages in the host at all.

venus (and native contexts) support, which I’d both like to see happening, still don’t work when using QEMU with libvirt, which is what TrueNAS does under the hood. Relevant upstream issues:
