After installing TrueNas as a virtual machine … The first order of business is to create a pool…After giving the pool a name I moved on to Disk selection…At that point I am stuck because there is no option in the drop down menu in other words for some reason TrueNas is not recognizing the Hard Drive at that point. If anybody has any advice would be much appreciated.
Please post your hardware details. You can take a look at the linked article to see if it helps any. Virtualizing TrueNAS the usual advice is to pass the entire HBA and disks to the VM. TrueNAS needs direct access. If you are just playing with TrueNAS, getting experience and don’t worry about data destruction in the pools, you can do it other ways. You might have trouble with a new poster limit of three posts. Try to describe what you are seeing the best you can.
