A couple of weeks ago I switched to 25.04 for a moment noting that:
- my VM’s where gone
- the VM part is marked as ^experimental^
- ‘some’ others are having issues with VM’s after the migration from 24.x to 25.x as well
- I am not aware about documentation related to VM migration what is working what not and how to migrate
What ever I still would like to migrate towards 25.04.x … but not before I am comfortable that that migration would be successful.
(using an unchanged VM-disk/zvol)m, just starting the VM with newly entered identical as before zvol, nic, cpu settings).
The bottom line is which improvements can I expect from 25.04.1. Will it solve the VM issues? Which 25.x versions will have mature VM-support ?
