I’m looking to get an HBA for my build and have read the LSI 9300-8i are generally regarded as good. I’ve come across a couple of listings on eBay but conscious fake/counterfeit cards do the rounds, so wondered how I check if the cards are legit? The listings are (Dell vs Inspur, different firmware versions). Seller has 100% feedback with lots of items sold so I’m probably being paranoid, but I’d really rather not lose all my data to a bad HBA!
Based on my experience, anything that comes from China is probably fake just because of how it’s listed on eBay.
Seeing that these two are from the UK, are used and reasonably priced (not too high or low), I think these two are legit cards.

I wasn’t sure how much location could be trusted due drop shipping etc.
Good to know the price looks about right!
Oh yeah, that reminds me, sometimes a counterfeit reseller will have a fake location in a legit country. Had that happen to me before.
But yeah, like I said, these two looks totally legit. Good luck.
