Windows cant write to share

Hi! Im pretty new to Truenas, and im having issues writing files to a smb share.
Ive been able to do this just fine before on a diffrent server, but having issues with this new one. Windows keeps saying i need permissions to perform this action, being moving a single audio file.

I followed the docs for making it, and most settings are on default.

Thank you!

fixed it by changing user from root to the user im using to access the smb share.
In my mind this doesnt seem like the best option so if there’s a proper way to do this let me know.

What point are you changing this?

I assume you’re not using any Domain Services for SMB, so you’ll need to make sure the ACLs are set correctly

Under Shares, find your share and click edit

Add your user to it with the level access for the root path, then apply recursively if needed.

Example of a basic SMB setup using just local truenas users
