Possible terminology issues here!
You should not use hardware RAID with ZFS.
You can make another pool out of the other HDD.
You cannot (or really “shall not”) add another drive to a raidz pool.
What is your setup and what do you really mean by “raid storage” and “in parallel”?
sorry but i’m not so close to this word.
i should make a new pool on the new HDD if i have properly understood.
currently i have only one pool on 4 HDD setted in raid 5 but i want to add a new HDD exclusively for the NVR.
thanks
A new pool indeed. (Whether ZFS is the best solution for handling perpetual NVR recording to a single-drive pool is another question…)
“raid 5” is not proper ZFS terminology or technology. If you mean raidz1 (single-parity), you’re fine. If you have the drives handled as hardware RAID 5, that’s not a safe or supported configuration with ZFS.

I assumed you were Italian from the name.
Hi, it doesn’t matter the language, anyway yes, I’m Italian.
