Using TrueNAS CE 25.10.1 while being AD domain joined, is there a way to make an anonymous SMB share work ?
Despite all tricks attempted (I’m certain that the share itself is setup correctly), it nonetheless always asks for credentials even without reaching the share, just accessing \\TrueNAS already asks for credentials making it all worthless.
How would I it setup so that I can have a public share exist, more precisely why is it trying to auth \\TrueNAS when I have nothing there besides that public share ?

Anonymous access was purposefully removed (and seems pretty much deprecated on the SMB side as well):
