Best (best features, best price, etc.) cloud storage to integrate with TrueNAS

I would like to get recommendations for cloud storage providers to use with a TrueNAS system. I would like to set it up to replicate to the cloud.

The first provider that comes to mind is, of course, AWS. It is probably not the best choice by both price and features.

Which provider would you recommend, and based on what aspects would you be doing so?

The best bang-for-buck (or GB/$) provider I know of is iDrive e2. The one that probably integrates best with TrueNAS is Storj.

Storj works well. I pay approx ÂŁ5 per month to backup and forget about 1TB of data.

@dan : could you explain to me, how so?

I probably can’t, really. I say “probably integrates best” because iX has some kind of deal with Storj, which results in a “Storj iX” storage provider in EE. But whether that does, or will, do anything beyond simplifying the credentials entry for that provider, is something I don’t know.

Hope the will add jottacloud.
really good and not expensive

Jottacloud is both more expensive than iDrive e2, and doesn’t appear to support the S3 interface used by, well, just about everyone any more. Doesn’t exactly sound like a win.

In case you need more than that (SMB, or team up with a handfull of fellow users, maybe?) at Hetzner you can get a dedicated machine with 8x 22 TB HDDs at $227/month. With a RAIDZ2 and assuming you are filling the drives up to 15 TB each that’s 90 TB usable or $2.50/TB*month.

Unlimited transfer at 1 G/s.

And you can use snapshot and replication tasks which is the fastest and most reliable method available.

Just to add a data point that might be useful for some.

P.S. SMB = small or medium sized business, not server messaging blocks.
