Cannot connect using local IP after installing Tailscale app

Hi everyone,

I have recently installed TrueNAS Scale and configured Tailscale to secure the connection. After a bit, I noticed that the web UI was no longer reachable. I restarted the device TrueNAS is running on and it came back online.

However, after ~30 minutes, the web UI was again not reachable. I then realized that the web app is correctly running but I can access it only if I install the Tailscale app on my laptop and use the magic link or Tailscale IP. Briefly, I can’t connect using the local IP 192.168.1.XX.

Anyone else stumbled across the same issue?

Yep! I have this exact problem. Not only am I not able to access TrueNAS’s webUI everything connected to TrueNAS (nfs shares, SAMBA, etc) lose connectivity.

Oh! Also, it only occurs when I turn on --accept-routes=true
