Cannot create dataset with Apps preset

I have a separate SSD in my nas to house the apps and their data. When I try to select the data set on that drive and Add Dataset, I name it and select the Apps preset, then get an error stating “[EINVAL] pool_dataset_create.share_type: Filesystem permissions on path /mnt/Apps-SSD prevent access for group “builtin_users” to the path /mnt/Apps-SSD/test. This may be fixed by granting the aforementioned group execute permissions on the path: /mnt/Apps-SSD.” Can someone please tell me where on earth I go to fix this? I’m logged in as my admin user, I feel like I should have permissions to do whatever and I cannot for the life of me figure out. When I select Apps-SSD in Datasets there’s no button under Permissions for me to edit the ACL. I’m at a loss.

If it’s SMB share, you need to create a child dataset just for sharing and have a separate user own that dataset.

It’s not an SMB

For any share you are not supposed to share the top level “pool” dataset. Create a dataset first and share that.
