I’m a relatively new TrueNAS user that started a few weeks ago testing a CORE 13.0 build, and then migrated to SCALE 24.10. I’ve been using the SMB shares without problems until this evening when I tried to delete a folder/subfolder tree through the Windows file manager. All the files got deleted but the not the folders. After poking around a bit, I looked at the file system using WinSCP and found that there was a hidden directory called .@__thumb that I believe contains thumbnails for the media content that had recently occupied the folder. I’m sure I can delete this by using the CLI interface or WinSCP, but is there any setup option I missed that would allow me to perform the deletes through Windows?
The user credentials used to connect to the SMB share has full control access.
Thanks,
Don
